URINE TRACT INFECTIONS IN DIYARBAKIR PROVINCIAL PRIMARY SCHOOLS

Because of the hot climate of Diyarbakır we have investigated the incidence of urinary tract infection among the students of elementary-school in Diyarbakır and the predisposing factors which can cause urinary tract infection. We have also investigated the distrubition of urinary tract infection according to age and sex, the complaints, c/inica/ and /aboratuary findings among the students who vere diagnosed to have urinary tract infection. The high incidence of urinary tract infection is attributed to the hot climate and the abundant predisposing factors. The attention of the pediatrists is attracted upon the importance of this subject.
