Seftriakson ile kronik üriner enfeksiyonların, posto-peratif üriner enfeksiyonların ve postoperatif yara enfeksiyonlarının tedavisinde başarılı sonuçlar alındı. Kontrol grubu olarak seçilen postoperatif üriner enfeksiyonlu hastalar Gentamisin ile tedavi edildi. Seftriakson gemtamisine göre daha etkili olup tek doz uygulama ve hastanede kalma süresini kısaltma üstünlüklerine sahiptir.
