In order to determine possible ocular findings, we surveyed 36 patients with vitiligo. Apart from eyelid involvement and poliosis in 11 patients (30.5%) only one patient was found to have a re-tinochoroidal scar suggesting a previous attack of retinochoroiditis. No difference was noted in iris and fundus pigmentations in the eyes ipsilateral to the vitiliginous lesion. In contrast to the general opi-nion in the literature, our findings suggested that the involvement of uveal tract is rare. We proposed that this rarity might be due to racial differences.
